As I sit here drinking my morning coffee I decided to do a blog post on none other than il caffe! Coffee is just as synonymous with Italia as pizza, cheese, and wine. In fact, not every Italian drinks wine everyday, or eats pizza everyday, or even eats cheese everyday, but coffee, coffee is the daily ritual. Italians are pursists when it comes to coffee and there is in fact a proper way to drink it. You have coffee with breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner, dessert, or any other combination of cravings. In the mornings (AND ONLY IN THE MORNINGS in true Italian-style) cappuccino, un caffe (which is actually just an espresso as we know it it the US) throughout the day, and caffe corretto in the evening (espresso with a brandy or grappa). This is a day in the Italian coffee life.
If you want the most authentic Italian coffee experience in your own home choose a couple of great

coffee brands. I do not have time to steam milk everyday or make a pure espresso... #keurig. However, I can buy Italian coffees and do my best to make the most of my coffee endeavor. Illy, of course, is your best bet as Italian bars (your average coffee spot) across the country use Illy for their own coffee of choice. Or not equite as finely ground but still pretty great, go with Lavazza. If you really enjoy
coffee skip the K-cups and splurge for the coffee bags and re-fillable k-cups. Enjoy your taste of Italy.
