Earlier this week I stumbled across this piece from the s/s 2013 Dolce and Gabbana show

so I decided to devote this post to the beautiful Taormina. Taormina is certainly a view one must see before they die. From a castle overlooking the Ionian sea to one of the most perfect Greek ampitheatres in Sicily, Taormina is a true gem. Founded by the Siculi tribe before the Greeks arrived in Sicily, Taormina is a truly "Sicilian" town. If you need a break from archeological tours relax on a beach or enjoy a great meal.
Start off with the caponata, a Sicilian eggplant dish with olives, peppers, tomatoes and sometimes dried fruit for a sweet finish. After your antipasto it's pretty obvious, go for the fish. Involtini di pesce spada, grilled sword-fish rolls, are perfect with a glass of white wine and a Taormina sunset. When in Sicilia, wear Dolce & Gabanna and

spend a day in the city by the bay.
